And so they say
That you and I were meant to pass this way
And cross the sea's uncertainties
That bring us to this day
When we let go of hands we hold
And fade to memory
And reminisce of those close to our hearts

And so you say
In stories told our heroes never die
And trophies made from picture shows
Give comfort with a sigh
And smiles will grow before we know our tears

No time to see you all
The time just got away
Some faces disappear
Before you have your say
So when the wind appears and blows a little colder
Feed the fire and know I'm at your shoulder

And so they say
That you and I were meant to pass this way
To revel in the smiles were shared
And drink until the dawn
And kick each other in the ass
On days we brought it on
And on our names the weeds will grow
And roses break away
So let's all raise a glass and praise this day
